Where can I buy a laptop computer with windows XP home?
I just want a simple computer, preferably with DVD writer and web-cam but only want Windows XP home the same as my desktop computer but everyone seems to be selling Vista which I do not want.
You will be very lucky to find a new Laptop pre-loaded with XP anything. Microsoft have more or less told all the manufacturers that they are not permitted to provide new laptops with old operating system.
What you can do is choose a laptop and load XP home yourself but you will get virtually no support from the manufacturer should things go wrong. A word of caution, if you do choose to do this check that the model you are buying does have XP drivers available for it, many new machines are specifically Vista only in the software and the drivers. YOu can install XP but may not be able to get many of the devices to function!
