ISU Police to Receive Patrol Car Computers
The Illinois State University Police Department is getting laptop computers installed in four of its patrol cars thanks to a $27,000 grant from the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System (ILEAS). The “ruggedized” computers will allow officers to access state and national crime file and intelligence databases and communicate digitally with other law enforcement agencies across Illinois.
